Ruby on Rails Developer

We run development with a team of distributed developers for iOS, Android and our own Rails backend. If you’re the kind of person have the desire to build beautiful and useful apps to share with the world, FLIO might be for you.

We are looking for an Ruby on Rails developer to work with us in Hamburg or Kiev.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance our backend API written in Ruby on Rails

  • Design DB schema

  • Work closely with our mobile team to create the best possible app

  • Collaborate around the creation of new and existing features

  • Participate in software design and code assessment

  • Diagnose and debug issues in a production environment

  • Keep up-to-date on the latest Ruby on Rails developments and respond to user feedback

Who you are:

  • You have at least 4 years Ruby on Rails development under your belt

  • You know how to optimize SQL queries and use caching to achieve high performance

  • You take pride in your work, never satisfied with “good enough”

  • A self-starter, motivated by your own desire to do exceptional work

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design & programming

Other skills

  • Interest in new technologies for mobile internet

  • Likes to work in a highly dynamic startup with plenty of room for own ideas

  • Bonus: you may have your own app in the appstore, a good github or stackoverflow profile
